Over on Ca Fleure Bon today is a compendium of Christmas gift ideas designed to appeal to perfumistas everywhere (and "normal" people too, for the most part). And here and there, perfumistas or normal people with large wallets. : - )
All the contributing writers, myself included, were urged to "Think outside the bottle" in coming up with our suggestions. As the only Brit on the team, I have gone with a domestic theme, as you can see here.
Oh, and there is the opportunity to win some hand and body lotion in a prize draw - you just have to leave a comment.

I don't know if it's that we neccesarily have large wallets... I think we sometimes just charge and justify because of our addiction... :)
Thanks very much for the link. I've had a look at the list and I confess I'd never heard of some of the things on it.
I'm posting my own Christmas recommendations on my blog on Saturday morning... feel free to delete this sentence if you object to inter-blog self-promotion ;-)
Hi Geordan
You make a very good point about big ticket items not necessarily being correlated with sizeable wallets! I have been there myself, most memorably when I first went to Lytham St Annes to have a bit of a browse in Fascination Perfumery, and came out of the shop next door with a MaxMara coat. : - )
Hi Persolaise,
There are some attractive and eclectic items on there, for sure - I was very taken with the Lebanese Cedar myself, which knocks the spots off those wooden toodstools you see in your average "stuff" shop.
And I can readily forgive anyone for plugging their site on mine who uses such a charming phrase as "inter-blog self-promotion".
A 'ceramicophile?' Love that! Thanks for the link - lots of interesting stuff. Are you enjoying your role as a contributing blogger? You're fun to read, wherever you are posting.
Hi Josephine,
Thanks for flitting about to find my bit on Ca Fleure Bon! Sadly, I haven't as much time for mine or anyone else's blogs as I'd like to at the moment due to my imminent US trip, but I look forward to getting back into the swing of things more fully in the New Year.
I have just had a look at the article. I love the chocolates but have never tried them, neither the candle, but all the articles are very nicely selected.
Hi Vintage Lady,
Glad you liked them!
I like your choices very much, reading it reminded me of the Basenotes afternoon tea at Miller Harris. Beautiful cup for your imaginary friend, or just for you :)
Hi Hebe / mixedbabygreens
Ah yes, what a great day! I did originally pick the Miller Harris tea we had - the one with rose petals - but changed it when I realised that it is out of stock at the moment. Don't want to risk creating any extra demand! : - )
